 Ancienne Manufacture Royale de Limoges The Ancienne Manufacture Royale de Limoges has been in the ceramics business since 1737 and has been making porcelain since 1767, when kaolin for making porcelain was discovered in Limoges.
Bernardaud acquired Ancienne in 1986, and today, Ancienne operates as a decoration house, using Bernardaud porcelain blanks. Today, Ancienne is best known for the wonderful reproductions they do of 18th Century porcelain designs, epecially those that were made at the Sevres factory. |
