Chambray (originally Cambrai) is named for the French town where it was originally produced – a technique utilizing a colored warp thread and a solid weft thread in order to create a pleasing, multi-hued appearance. Note how both distinct thread colors can be seen in the hand-knotted fringe – so cool!
