It is 1750 and Florentine noblewomen are expressing in their attire a renewed taste for floral découpage inspired by the decorations of Japanese kimonos. A newfound fascination with oriental taste is giving rise to our wonderful decoration dubbed "alla Coreana." The collection includes pure porcelain plates, cups and other tableware, items that evoke springtime, love and feminine beauty, harmoniously bound in the iconic shape of the Antico Doccia line. As these are ideas that traditional Asian iconography associates with the peony ("Mudan" in Chinese), the fragrant flower is featured throughout the collection.
