Pont Aux Choux Blanc (White)

The form Pont aux Choux refers to the Manafacture of the same name created in 1748 in Paris, located on boulevard Saint Antoine on former ditches that had become market gardens, where cabbages were grown and accessed by a bridge, hence the name Pont aux Choux. The rice grain pattern was developed in this factory around 1750. In 1819, Thomas Hall, founder of the Manafacutre de Gien, acquired Pont aux Choux and the famous "grain of rice" pattern.
